  • Yamaha MT-09 Design and Build

    Yamaha MT-09

MT-09 is one of the latest streetfighters from Yamaha based on their new ideology for naked sportbikes. The MT in the motorcycle’s name is envisioned as “Masters of Torque”. The design is quite compact with slim dimensions for the kind of power it packs. The headlight is small, low and aggressive looking, followed by a single-piece flat handlebar and a curvy fuel tank which is thin between the legs. The tail section is minimal and exposes the fat rear tyre. The build quality is pretty good and the fit-n-finish of various parts is impressive.

  • Yamaha MT-09 Riding Ergonomics

    Yamaha MT-09

MT-09 puts the rider in an almost upright riding stance holding the flat and wide handlebar with a slight sense of aggressiveness. The foot-pegs are rear-set as well for an overall commanding riding stance with a good frontal view. Handlebar switches remain within easy reach. Shockers are a bit softly sprung in their standard setting for a comfortable ride within the city.
