  • Suzuki Hayabusa Design and Build

    Suzuki Hayabusa

The Hayabusa design perfectly merges motorcycle and rider. Carefully sculpted bodywork tames the wind to maximize the more-than-ample power of the Hayabusa engine. Extensive wind tunnel testing with a rider onboard helped to find the ultimate shape for high-speed riding. The radical aerodynamic styling and smoother bodywork not only gives the Busa its unique look but also protects the rider from the wind.

  • Suzuki Hayabusa Riding Ergonomics

    Suzuki Hayabusa

Ergonomic and cosmetic changes for the Hayabusa include a higher windscreen, and interlocking gauge faces with a digital speedometer, as well as a new gear indicator and adjustable shift light. The fairing fasteners on the Hayabusa super bike were hidden to uncomplicate custom paint work.

  • Suzuki Hayabusa Engine

    Suzuki Hayabusa

Powering the Suzuki GSX-1300R Hayabusa is a 1340cc, four cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The fuel injected motor is good for churning out respective power and torque outputs of 197 bhp and 155 Nm. With this set up, the bike can touch an electronically restricted top speed of 300 kmph.

  • Suzuki Hayabusa Transmission

    Suzuki Hayabusa

The gearbox on the Suzuki Hayabusa is a six-speed unit with one down and five up pattern. The gearbox has a taller gearing which means that you do not have to shift gears every now and then, facilitating riding in the city and long distances too.

  • Suzuki Hayabusa Braking and Safety

Hayabusa is equipped with the Bridgestone BT-015 tyres, which is specially developed for the motorcycle. The tyre's profile and compound were developed through a variety of testing to achieve a high level of stability and handling. A single-piston, pin-slide TOKICO rear brake caliper works with newly equipped ABS. The rear disc is 260mm in diameter and 5.5mm thick.

  • Suzuki Hayabusa Mileage

The new Suzuki Hayabusa offers a combined fuel efficiency of close to 11 kmpl which can be increased to 14-15 kmpl while riding on the highways. Keeping in mind the fact that the Hayabusa is a full fledged sports tourer and the amount of power output it generates, the fuel efficiency figures do not seem outright disappointing.
