Suzuki has revealed the BS6 version of Gixxer SF 250 with minor updates in power and torque outputs. It is powered by 249cc, fuel-injection engine but delivers the same power and 0.4Nm of reduced torque as compared to BS4. The fuel-injection engine generates 26hp/22.2Nm and it is mated to a 6-speed transmission. It gets features such as an LED headlamp, LED tail-lamp, digital instrument cluster, clip-on handlebars, and split seats. The Gixxer SF 250 comes equipped with disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS. The BS6 Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 comes in two variants standard which cost at Rs 1.74 lakh and Moto GP edition that is available at Rs 1,74,900. All prices are ex-showroom.

      The new Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 takes design and styling inspiration from the elder GSX-R models and the bike gets a similar shaped headlamp up front for better appeal. The bike looks sharper and has an aggressive design that make it look like a proper supersport from almost every angle. Elements like clip on handlebars, twin port exhaust set up and sporty split step up seats are some highlights that make the Gixxer SF 250 come across as a proper sportsbike.

      The Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 offers a quite comfortable riding position. Compared to the previous generation Gixxer SF 150, the motorcycle offers a sportier riding position, all thanks to the clip-on handlebars and the revised seat height along with the change in footpeg position. However, this one is not an outright track motorcycle and hence, you can ride it over long distances without any hassle.

      The engine on the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is mated to a six-speed transmission system. The gearbox has a one down, five up shifting pattern like other motorcycles. The transmission works smooth and precise and we hardly found any false neutral during our first ride with the motorcycle.

      Braking on the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 is taken care of with the help of disc brakes at both ends. For added safety, the company also offers an ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with the motorcycle. The bike also comes with a full LED headlamp that aims to offer better illumination than a regular halogen unit.

      Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 comes with a 12-litre fuel tank. The claimed mileage of the BS6 version has not been revealed by the manufacturer.
