MV Agusta is a naked motorcycle that comes in two engines in India - the 800 and 1090. The 2017 Brutale 800 was launched in India in July 2017 and is brought here as a CKD unit which is assembled at the Kinetic plant. It has been given cosmetic, as well as mechanical updates. While it now has LED DRL, a redesigned tail section and an upgraded chassis, the engine too has been tweaked to produce maximum torque at rpm as low as 3800.

    Brutale, being a street naked, provides an upright seating posture that works well city riding. However, once crouched a lower the rider can take higher speeds with ease. Besides that, the response from the monoshock can be fully customised as per requirement. The Brutale 1090 RR has a wider adjustment range for race or city riding.

    MV Agusta's inline engine architecture has been much celebrated. The Britale 1090 is available in two trims. The engine found on the Brutale 1090 displaces 1078 cc that makes 144 hp at 10,300 rpm and 112 Nm of torque, while the Brutale 1090 RR churns out 158 hp at 11,900 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 10,100 rpm and has a six-speed gearbox.

    Brutale comes with a six-speed transmission. The new Brutale 800 also gets EAS (Electronically Assisted Shift) 2.0 for clutchless gear shifts and a hydraulic slipper clutch, along with ride-by-wire throttle and riding modes.

  • MV Agusta Brutale Braking and Safety

    Brutale 800 comes with a 320 mm disc brake at the front and a 220 mm unit at the rear, switchable ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), 8-level traction control system and Pirelli Diablo Rosso 3 tyres as standard. Brutale 1090 and 1090 R get two 310 mm diameter floating front discs and the Brutale 1090 RR comes with 320 mm discs. At the back, the motorcycles are fitted with 210 mm steel discs.

  • MV Agusta Brutale Mileage

    Brutale 1090 gets a 23-litre fuel tank and the Brutale 800 has a 16.5-litre fuel tank.
