Harley Davidson Fat Boy

Rs. 17.01 - 17.01 Lakh *

Ex-showroom Price (New Delhi)

Fat Boy is a softail which means that the rear suspension is hidden from the view giving an impression of a "hardtail" (no shockers at the back). However, in reality, there's a single shocker present at the lower part of the chassis and does proper damping duties. Fat Boy is possibly the most iconic motorcycles made by Harley Davidson sporting virtually perfect proportions for a cruiser. The overall fat dimensions, 17-inch bullet hole cast aluminium disc wheels, fat front forks, fuel tank and a wide handlebar lend a laid-back, yet, dominating stance unlike any other motorcycle. It is one of the most important motorcycles in Harley Davidson's lineup. While the design has been refined over the years, it has remained largely familiar. Currently, the Fat Boy is powered by a 1690cc air-cooled V-twin engine delivering 125 NM of torque and comes with a 6-speed Cruiser Drive transmission.

  • Harley Davidson Fat Boy Design and Build

    Harley Davidson Fat Boy

Fat Boy is one of the most stunning cruisers to have ever been rolled out of a factory. With category-defining fat and bulky looks, the Fat Boy is an icon and an unmistakable benchmark as a cruiser. The build quality shouts strength and mass that have been polished over and over for years since its original launch in 1990. From the fat front tyre and the fat forks through the wide steel handlebar and the fuel tank to smooth rear end, the Fat Boy has been design perfection. Not to forget those unique bullet hole cast aluminium disc wheels and the twin silencer setup. The Fat Boy in itself is a standard and the finest example of a big, fat cruiser bathed in shining metal and chrome.

  • Harley Davidson Fat Boy Riding Ergonomics

    Harley Davidson Fat Boy

The riding position is another aspect which can be termed as category-defining with a relaxed stance, yet, commanding in its outlook. The handlebar is wide and angled for an easy reach for the rider. The foot boards offer ample room for the rider to move his feet around and remain in comfort for hours and hours. The rider seat is well-padded as well for long distance touring.

  • Harley Davidson Fat Boy Engine

    Harley Davidson Fat Boy

Fat Boy is powered by a 1690cc twin-cam air-cooled V-twin engine which is capable of churning out a massive 125 NM of torque at a low 3,500 RPM. This, assisted by a 6-speed gearbox, delivers a largely stress-free power delivery.

  • Harley Davidson Fat Boy Transmission

    Harley Davidson Fat Boy

Fat Boy comes with a 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission for excellent high speed cruising ability on highways. The top gear is designed to keep the engine revs low thereby providing a stress-free riding experience maintaining the engine smoothness and fuel efficiency. The overall quality of the gearbox is quite good and the shifts are positive throughout.

  • Harley Davidson Fat Boy Braking and Safety

Fat Boy comes with a single 300mm disc brake at the front with a 4-piston caliper while the rear single disc brake is operated by a 2-piston caliper. Given the mass of the motorcycle, it would be nice to have a stronger braking package with a dual disc setup up front. ABS remains standard.

  • Harley Davidson Fat Boy Mileage

Fat Boy comes with an 18.9 litres of fuel tank capacity which roughly translates to a range of around 280 km in one full tank. Not bad for a big, heavy and a powerful cruiser.
