Ex-showroom Price (New Delhi)

959 Panigale is the latest fully-faired sportbike from Ducati. It is often popularly categorized as a “Super-mid” given its 955cc engine displacement which is neither in the middle-weight Supersport category nor completely in the 1000cc Superbike segment. Ducati says this motorcycle has been built to provide Superbike like performance on the road with the practicality and agility of a 600cc. The power output is a generous 154.8 BHP (157 PS) and 107.4 NM of torque. The 959 is the only Panigale which comes with the side-mounted double-barrel style exhausts in order to comply with the Euro-4 emission norms. It’s loaded with technology with stuff like Ride by Wire, ABS, Traction Control, Riding Modes and a Quick-shifter.

  • Ducati Panigale Design and Build

    Ducati Panigale

959 Panigale is the latest in Ducati’s fully-faired sportbike range and sports the same design, with subtle differences, like the rest of the Panigales. Extremely sharp and compact, the 959 is one of the most petite sportbikes available in the market today. A sharp fairing with a dual headlight assembly has a unique exotic flavour to itself while the side fairing looks fuller. The fuel tank is proportionately designed and the tail section is absolutely minimalistic. The build quality is remarkable, to say the least. The chassis is unique in its class with a monocoque design with the engine acting as its part. The swing-arm is double-sided compared to the single-sided units in the more powerful Panigales.

  • Ducati Panigale Riding Ergonomics

    Ducati Panigale

As a typical sportbike, the 959 Panigale has an uncompromised riding stance where the rider sits in a lean-forward position holding a low and narrow two-piece handlebar. Rider foot-pegs are, of course, rear-set. However, it is not too uncomfortable like the Ducati sportbikes of the past. With the Panigale, Ducati has managed to provide an aggressiveness riding position without torturing the rider. As far as the suspension is concerned, it is fully adjustable at the front and back allowing the rider to further customize the ride quality as per his requirements.

  • Ducati Panigale Engine

    Ducati Panigale

The desmodromic engine is the star of the 959 Panigale. Displacing at a precise 955cc, this L-twin (90-degree v-twin) unit churns out 154.8 BHP of power at 10,500 RPM and 107.4 NM of torque at 9,000 RPM. It is a high revving twin cylinder engine designed to generate maximum performance. It is equipped with technologies like Ride by Wire for a crisp throttle response and three riding modes (Race, Sport & Wet) to increase the flexibility of the engine in different riding conditions. Furthermore, electronic fuel injection ensures consistent performance in all weather conditions.

  • Ducati Panigale Transmission

    Ducati Panigale

A 6-speed transmission is a must for a performance oriented, high-revving sportbike and the 959 Panigale is not an exception. This slick manual gearbox is further assisted by Ducati Quick-shift mechanism which enables clutchless up-shifting without the need to momentarily close the throttle.

  • Ducati Panigale Braking and Safety

The braking system is an integral part of motorcycle riding to ensure safety and even more so in a sportbike. 959 Panigale comes with class-leading 320mm dual disc setup at the front with Brembo M4 32 4-piston monobloc callipers that are radially mounted. A single 245mm disc with 2-piston callipers does the duty at the back. These are assisted by the latest generation 9MP ABS system by Bosch.

  • Ducati Panigale Mileage

Latest technologies in fuel injection and power management ensure competent fuel efficiency. This, combined with the 17 litres fuel tank capacity, means a decent range in a single full tank.
