Monster 821 is the smallest and the most affordable Monster offered by Ducati. While it retains the original essence of the design, the new Monster is based on a new platform from the ground up. Powered by an 821cc L-twin liquid cooled engine, it is capable of producing 110.5 BHP (112 PS) of maximum power and 89.4 NM of torque catapulting the Monster to one of the top performances in its class. The design is minimal with a curvy and muscular fuel tank and a familiar headlight which now looks more sophisticated thanks to the LED parking lights. The steel-trellis frame is minimalistic and connected at the heads of both cylinders.

  • Ducati Monster Design and Build

    Ducati Monster

Monster is the most popular brand of motorcycles in the Ducati lineup and its most successful as well. This motorcycle virtually gave birth to the “Streetfighter” category. The design cleverly follows the cues of the original Monster with a curvaceous and muscular fuel tank, a round headlamp, trellis frame and a minimalistic tail section. In new Monsters, the frame is compact and small and connects at the heads of both cylinders. The front suspension is beefy 43mm upside-down forks and a conventional, double-sided swing-arm at the back. The instrument panel is fully digital as well with the “DOT-Matrix area”.

  • Ducati Monster Riding Ergonomics

    Ducati Monster

Being a streetfighter, the Monster strikes a balance between an aggressive riding stance and a comfortable one. The rider sits slightly lean-forward holding a single-piece, wide and almost-straight handlebar with rear-set foot-pegs for a spirited riding position. The seat is well-cushioned and reasonably wide making the rider feel quite comfortable overall. Not just that, the seat height is adjustable so riders get more freedom to alter the position as per their convenience. The suspension is well-damped as well with the rear mono-shock adjustable with progressive linkage.

  • Ducati Monster Engine

    Ducati Monster

Monster 821 is powered by a modern testastretta L-twin engine which displaces 821cc and churns out 110.5 BHP of power at 9,250 RPM and 89.4 NM of torque at 7,750 RPM. liquid cooling and fuel injection, together, ensure consistent performance at all engine speeds in all gears as well as adherence to the strictest emission norms. There are 3 riding modes – Urban, Sport, Touring – providing flexibility of power to the rider. Then there’s also Ride by Wire system which ensures crisp throttle response at all RPMs.

  • Ducati Monster Transmission

    Ducati Monster

Monster 821 comes with a 6-speed transmission to extract all the juice from the 821cc motor. The shifting mechanism is smooth in both directions with proper feedback ensuring positive gear changes. The addition of slipper clutch further lightens the clutch pull and eliminates any chance of rear wheel lockup under aggressive down-shifting.

  • Ducati Monster Braking and Safety

Monster 821 has got a top-rate braking system from Brembo with M4 32 monobloc 4-piston callipers mounted radially on dual 320mm discs. These are well complemented by the single 240mm disc at the rear with 2-piston callipers. Bosch 9 MP ABS and Traction Control are also there to further increase the safety parameter of the whole braking equipment.

  • Ducati Monster Mileage

17.5 litres of fuel tank capacity along with fuel injection make sure that the motorcycle delivers optimum fuel efficiency under different riding conditions.
