  • BMW Motorrad S1000RR Design and Build

    BMW Motorrad S1000RR

As one would typically expect from a BMW Motorrad motorcycle, the fit and finish on the BMW S 1000 RR is top notch. The motorcycle looks like any other supersports with some signature BMW elements that make it stand a class apart. The front end of the motorcycle now gets BMW symmetrical headlamps. That said, BMW's asymmetrical headlamps are gone and for this reason, the new generation has created two different sets of audience, one who like the design and the other one that don't.

  • BMW Motorrad S1000RR Riding Ergonomics

    BMW Motorrad S1000RR

The riding ergonomics on the BMW S1000RR are quite demanding for the simple reason that this one is meant for the racetracks. The rider sits forward leaned and the rear set footpegs will definitely tire you out over long distances. Coming to the quality of the switch gear and the overall fit and finish, you will hardly find any reason to complain here. The new model gets a fully coloured TFT instrument cluster that shows enough information to the rider.

  • BMW Motorrad S1000RR Engine

    BMW Motorrad S1000RR

The BMW S 1000 RR gets power from a 999cc, inline four cylinder engine mated to a six-speed gearbox. The fuel injected egine is good for producing a maximum power output of 201hp while the peak torque is rated at 113 Nm. This engine is known for delivering its seamless performance and power delivery and the new generation model justifies the statement even more.

  • BMW Motorrad S1000RR Transmission

    BMW Motorrad S1000RR

The gearbox on the BMW S 1000 RR is a six-speed unit. The transmission has a one-down, five-up shifting pattern that you will find in most of the motorcycles. The gearshifts are smooth and precise and not even once, we encountered any complaints while riding the bike.

  • BMW Motorrad S1000RR Braking and Safety

The braking on the 2019 BMW S1000RR is done with the help of twin 320mm disc brakes up front along with a single 220mm disc brake at the rear. A dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) is offered as standard for added safety. In terms of safety, the BMW S1000RR gets features like a traction control system, multiple riding modes, launch control and more.

  • BMW Motorrad S1000RR Mileage

The BMW S1000RR returns a fuel efficiency of close to 10 kmpl. The bike comes with a fuel tank having 17.5-litre and hence, you get a range of close to 175 km once you fill the tank upto its brim.
