Aprilia Dorsoduro 900 is an adventure motorcycle and is also the Italian brand's latest addition to its line-up in India. It gets riding modes to tackle various road surfaces and riding requirements. It comes equipped with ride-by-wire, traction control and ABS. The Dorsoduro 900 combines sports performance and go anywhere capabilities.
Riding modes: Sport - for aggressive throttle response, Touring - for prolonged riding or daily use and Rain - for difficult surfaces.
New 900cc engine tuned for better torque and response at low and mid rpm.
Aprilia Multimedia Platform allows the rider to manage and share trip information, such as sports or touring riding info, consumption on trips, routes and travel speeds, grip conditions and Aprilia service centre locations.
The superstructures have been reduced to a minimum, leaving out anything that is non-essential to performance and hence giving it a sturdy appeal. The overall design is compact, with a tank sculpted to support sports-style riding as well. The tail end on the Dorsoduro 900 is sleek and houses the exhaust. The frame and cylinder head covers are painted red that give it a sporty look.
The riding stance on the Dorsoduro 900 is upright and encourages longer rides and even daily usage. Tall riders will find the stance more comfortable.
It is powered by a 900cc V-twin engine, with four valves per cylinder, dual overhead cam and liquid-cooling, that produces 95.2 hp at 8,750 rpm and maximum torque of 90 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The maximum torque is churned out at higher rpm, however, the torque curve is flatter, providing better acceleration response.
Aprilia Dorsoduro comes with a six-speed gearbox with a hydraulically operated multiplate wet clutch.
Dual 320 mm stainless steel floating discs with radial, four-piston callipers up front and 240 mm stainless steel disc with single piston calliper at the back, assisted by continental two-channel ABS system.
It gets a 12-litre fuel tank with a claimed range of 200 km.
