
Renault India has unveiled the all-new Captur in India which is going to be launched next month during the festive season. The prices of the new Renault Captur is expected to start from Rs 9 lakh and will extend up to Rs 15 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The crossover will compete with the likes of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and the Hyundai Creta in the segment. The company has also started accepting bookings for the upcoming crossover at a token amount of Rs 25,000 across the Renault showrooms in the country.

Renault Captur is built on the company's B0 platform that also underpins the Renault Duster although it is longer than the Duster. The crossover measures 4,329 mm in length, 1,813 mm width and 1,619 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,673 mm. The car also has a ground clearance of 210 mm and 392 litres of boast space that can be expandable to 1352 litres with rear seats folded. Renault Captur's exterior features creases on the bonnet and the front bumper, satin finish front and rear skid plate as well as some chrome elements at the front and sides.

The Captur gets a modern design, new features and technologies. The car uses Innovative Lighting Systems (ILS) that provides brighter illumination. It also gets LED headlamps with floating side indicators, C-shaped sapphire LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) and Ripple tail lamps as well as 17-inch crystal cut alloys.

The Renault Captur’s cabin, on the other hand, features LED ambient lighting and will also get an integrated 7-inch infotainment system that will be compatible with Bluetooth, USB and AUX. The infotainment system will also feature voice recognition that will work only for ios, maps along with temperature and time display.

The upcoming Renault Captur will feature flat-bottomed steering wheel with controls for audio along with other comfort and convenience features like automatic climate control, rear AC vents and cruise control. The safety equipment will consist of ABS (Antilock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution) and dual front airbags, side airbags, brake assist as well as Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist across various variants.

Renault Captur will be powered by both petrol and diesel powertrains. The petrol option will get a 1.5 litre H4K four-cylinder engine that will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine producing 104 hp of power at 5,600 rpm and 142 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The diesel version will be powered by a 1.5 litre K9K common rail injection unit that will develop 108 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and peak torque of 240 Nm at 1,750 rpm. The diesel engine will be paired to 6-speed manual gearbox.
