Honda Activa 125 is now also the second scooter in India to come with fuel injection (the first being Hero Maestro Edge 125 FI). Honda have so far not shared the engine specifications yet, but expect it to be the same 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with Honda's PGM-FI tech to match the stringent emissions regulations.

The current BS-IV model of Activa 125 makes 8.4 bhp at 6500 rpm and 10.54 Nm at 5000 rpm. Honda say that not just cleaner emissions, the new Activa 125 will be more fuel efficient by 10%.

The main highlight of the new features that will come with the BS-VI Activa 125 is the new starter motor for a noiseless engine start, along with a engine idle start-stop system for improved fuel economy. The new Activa 125 will also be the first in its segment to feature a side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, which means the scooter will not start if the side stand is down.
