Mahindra & Mahindra, one of India’s leading SUV manufacturers, unveiled its new EV brands in August last year. The company revealed the concept images of the XUV.e series and the BE series as part of its vision for the future.

These new Mahindra electric SUVs will be based on the state-of-the-art INGLO EV platform. Mahindra will showcase these concept electric SUVs for the first time to the Indian public today ahead of the Formula E race weekend in Hyderabad.

The Mahindra XUV.e8 will be the first electric SUV to be launched in India. It’s essentially the electric version of the XUV700 and is likely to be introduced in a production-spec version by December 2024.

The Mahindra XUV.e9 is expected to make its market debut In April 2025. It will be a five-seater coupe SUV and will measure 4,790 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width and 1,690mm in height. The XUV.e9 will have a wheelbase of 2,775 mm.

Mahindra’s BE range will consist of three electric SUVs, the BE.05, BE.07 and the BE.09. The Mahindra BE.05 is said to be launched in India in October 2025 and it will be a coupe SUV with a striking design language.

Unlike the BE.05. the Mahindra BE.07 will be a traditional SUV with a boxy design language. It will measure 4,565 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, 1,660 mm in height and have a 2,775 mm wheelbase. The BE.07 will be introduced in October 2026.

Finally, we have the Mahindra BE.09 and its expected launch timeline is yet to be revealed. The Mahindra BE.09 will be a four-seater coupe SUV and its other details are yet to be revealed.

Mahindra will showcase its Born Electric SUV range in Hyderabad ahead of the first-ever Formula E race in India. It’s worth noting that Mahindra Racing is India’s only racing team to compete in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
