Porsche is all set to showcase its 718 Cayman GT4 RS in Mumbai at its ‘festival of dream’ event on January 25. Along with that the carmaker is also exhibiting its entire line-up. The supercar was previously launched in India last year at a starting price of Rs 2.54 crore (ex-showroom).

The 718 Cayman GT4 RS is powered by a 4-litre naturally aspirated engine which is capable of churning out 493bhp and a peak torque of 450 Nm. These power figures are on the higher side if compared with the regular Cayman GT4 as it produces 80bhp and 20 Nm more power.

The company managed to reduce the car’s weight by 35 kg compared to the 718 GTS. The 718 Cayman GT4 RS comes mated with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. According to Porsche it can sprint from 0-100kmph in just 3.4 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 315kmph.

718 Cayman GT4 RS is equipped with 20-inch forged aluminium alloy wheels with 408mm disc brakes at the front and 380mm discs at the rear. It features an electrically adjustable front diffuser while the ride height has dropped by 30mm compared to the regular Caymans. It also features RS-specific suspension settings as well as a retuned chassis for better stiffness.

The 718 Cayman GT4 RS is the first Cayman to get the RS badge. Porsche has improved the performance of the car, and this is reflected in its design as well. There are now intakes on the bonnet that cool the brakes. There are new air intakes just behind the windows on either side of the car.

The rear window is made of lightweight glass and so are the door panels with textile opening loops and nets on the storage compartments.
