Yokohama has launched a new range of tyres for SUV, known as the Geolandar A/T G015. The tyre will replace Geolandar A/T G012 in the product line up and can be used on SUVs with a tyre size between 15 to 18 inches. The company has already tried and tested the new tyre range on Toyota Land Cruiser Prado at Yokohama's test course. The new tyre range is designed and tested for off-roading on the wet surface and gets improved noise reduction. The Geolandar A/T G015 has been developed with a new tread pattern and gets four deep wide main grooves that help in the better displacement of water, leading to easier manoeuvrability on the wet surface. Also, for higher traction on a wet surface, the lug grooves on the tyre lose width as they approach the centre. In addition to the improved grip, the new tyre also helps improve fuel-efficiency and employs 3-D shaped sipes that are shaped in a three-tier pyramid which helps in more stiffness on road and highways. For off-road, the design of the shoulder section has been updated to improve durability.

The Geolandar A/T G015 can be used on the SUVs like Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Jeep Compass. Apart from these, the company is selling more range of tyres under the Geolandar series- Geolandar M/T plus, Geolandar A/T-S and Geolandar H/T-S that can be used on 15 inch to 18-inch wheel sizes. Also, the company has started supplying a new Geolandar G055 series tyres for Jeep Compass in North America.
