In order to celebrate the festive month in the country, Volkswagen has introduced a limited edition model of the Polo, christened the Polo AllStar. Although, the carmaker has not revealed the price of the Polo AllStar, it is expected to be a bit pricier by around Rs 20,000 more than the standard models.
Changes made to the new variant include cosmetic updates such as a new 15-inch diamond cut alloys wrapped in 185/65 R15 tyres, AllStar badging on the B-pillar and scuff plates. The Volkswagen Polo AllStar also gets a choice of five new paint schemes, namely, Reflex Silver, Candy White, Flash Red, Toffy Brown and Blue Silk. On the inside, the AllStar is equipped with a centre armrest at the front with storage, rear-AC vents, aluminium paddles, new seat upholstery with contrast stripes, and AllStar door sill plates.
As it is a cosmetic change, the Polo AllStar is powered by the same 1.2 L petrol and 1.5 L diesel engines. The petrol variants generate 73 hp of power, while the turbocharged diesel motor produces 88 hp of maximum power. Both the units are mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
Volkswagen is also running a festive campaign – Volksfest 2016, where the company is offering exciting offers and deals for the prospective customers. The Volksfest will be held up to 31st October, where the customers can avail offers for booking a car, get customised gifts for a test drive and stand a chance to win a Blaupunkt Multimedia tablet.
