UM Motorcycles will add two more models to its Indian product line-up as the company gears up to launch the Renegade Classic and the Commando Mojave Edition on 2nd September. The upcoming UM Renegade Classic will be powered by the same 279.5 cc liquid cooled engine with 24.8 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 23 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox and the power will be sent to the rear wheel via a chain drive. The UM Commando Mojave Edition is based on the Renegade Commando, but will be available in matte colour options and will be positioned above the Renegade Commando. Powering the Commando Mojave Edition is the same 279 cc water cooled single cylinder unit that generates 25 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. However, dimensionally both motorcycles are different. The Renegade Classic measures 1,975 mm in length, 1,280 mm in height and 730 mm in width while the UM Mojave, on the other hand, is 2,257 mm in length, 1,140 mm in height, 780 mm in width and has 1,545 mm of wheelbase.
The UM Renegade Classic cruiser motorcycle will get telescopic forks at the front and twin shocks at the rear. The brakes include a 280 mm disc at the front and a 130 mm drum at the rear. The motorcycle will have a fuel tank capacity of 18 litres. It will also feature chrome finishes and other customisable accessory options such as a windshield and pillion backrest. The Mojave, on the other hand, will get a matte desert sand body colour, a leather saddlebag and wired leg guards with rope.
The UM Renegade Classic is expected to be priced around Rs 1.65 lakh and will compete with the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Thunderbird 350 in the segment.
