The new Toyota Etios Platinum Limited edition brings with it a new paint scheme along with a revised cabin and a new infotainment system. The option is available only for the sedan and not for the hatchback. Price starts at Rs 7.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Toyota Kirloskar has just launched the Etios Platinum Limited edition in India. The price of the car starts at Rs 7.84 lakh with the petrol variant while the diesel trim will set you back by Rs 8.94 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). The Etios Platinum Limited edition is available for the VX trim only. The new edition is available for the sedan only and it has not been launched for the hatchback. Mechanically, there are no changes to the car. The Toyota Etios Platinum Limited edition brings with it a new paint scheme along with a revised cabin and a new infotainment system. The new version has been launched in a new Phantom brown colour and one can also opt for the Pearl White shade that is being offered with the standard model as well. The cabin of the new Toyota Etios Platinum Limited Edition now gets dual tone upholstery to match up with the exterior colour scheme. However, one of the biggest updates on the new edition is the integration of a new 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system does not get Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

The Toyota Etios Platinum Limited edition gets two engine options. While the 1.5-litre petrol engine is good for developing 89 hp of power and 132 Nm of torque, the 1.4-litre diesel engine makes out 67 hp and 170 Nm. Both these engines come mated to a five-speed manual transmission system. The Toyota Etios has been selling in decent numbers in India. Toyota Kirloskar sold a total of 12,705 units of its cars in the month of February 2018. Out of these numbers, the company sold 11,864 units in the domestic market while 570 units were exported.

The company had introduced its Yaris sedan at the recently concluded Auto Expo 2018. The car will be launched in India in May 2018 with bookings expected to commence in the coming weeks. Toyota is quite optimistic with the Yaris and it hopes to see a boost in sales with the launch.
