Tata Nexon bookings are open across the company's dealerships in the country at a token amount of Rs 11,000. The new Tata Nexon is likely to be launched by the end of this month and is expected to be priced between Rs 7 and Rs 10 lakh, ex-showroom. It will rival against the likes of the Ford EcoSport, Honda WR-V and the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Recently, the upcoming compact SUV has also been spotted at a dealership by a Facebook user, indicating the launch will happen soon. It is expected to be available in XE, XM, XT, XZ and XZ+ variants in both petrol and diesel options.
The Nexon will be based on the company's IMPACT design philosophy and will feature projector headlamps with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps and chrome finished 'Humanity line' front grille. The five seater SUV also sports 350 litres of boot space, which can be increased to 690 litres with the rear seat folded down.
A 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system by Harman is mounted on top of the central console on the Nexon and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. As part of an impressive electronics package, the Tata Nexon also gets three driving modes, namely; Eco, Sport and City, which is a first in its segment. The Nexon also gets a cooled and illuminated glove box, multiple utility spaces including door frame holders that drain out any fluids, without letting them entering the cabin like in the case of a wet umbrella, which can dampen leave a fair amount of water behind.
