A few Tata Motors dealerships in Delhi NCR have started accepting bookings for Tata Nexon AMT that is set to be launched in the coming weeks. The said variant of the popular compact SUV was showcased at Auto Expo 2018 in an orange shade. The AMT for the Tata Nexon will likely be offered in the mid and top spec variants, looking at the company's history of offering the said transmission to its cars. When Express Drives spoke to a few Tata dealers in Delhi NCR, they revealed that the new Nexon AMT can be booked with a minimum token amount of Rs 5,000. Tata Nexon was launched in India in September last year at a starting price of Rs 5.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The compact SUV gained popularity in a short span of time, courtesy its visually appealing design and competitive pricing. The manufacturer had stated at the time of launch that the AMT version of the car will be launched later, depending upon the demand from the customers.

Reports on the internet suggest that the AMT for Tata Nexon will be available with both, 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. There will also be a creep mode with the AMT and its benefit is that you do not need to stay active all the time with the throttle in stop and go traffic.
