Skoda Octavia RS first batch sold out in less than 45 days

The first batch of Skoda Octavia RS is sold out and you might have to wait till January 2018 to receive your pre-booked performance sedan.

The first 250 units of Skoda Octavia RS that debuted in India last last month has been sold out and if you want one then will need to wait for the second batch to arrive. Skoda India dealers say that deliveries of the second batch of Octavia RS will begin only in January 2018. Dealers continue to take the bookings of the performance version of Skoda Octavia.

The Skoda Octavia RS is one of its kind powerful mid-size sedan that's powered by a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that sheds a power of 230 bhp and peak torque of 350 Nm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed DSG automatic transmission and claims 0-100 kmph in 6.8 seconds. Skoda Octavia RS is priced at Rs 24.62 lakh (Ex-Mumbai). Based on the Volkswagen’s MQB platform Octavia RS features a chrome surround front grille, LED headlamps with DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), LED tail lamps as well as fog lamps. The car is available with a body kit that consists of new bumpers, a new grille with 'vRS' badge, boot-mounted consists, rear diffuser, dual exhausts and new 17-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers.

Inside the cabin, the car gets a 9.2-inch infotainment system, which gets connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink. The interior also boasts of an all-black theme with Alcantara leather seats and gear knob with contrast red stitching, ambient lighting system and the 'RS' badging. The safety equipment, on the other hand, consist of nine airbags, ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and park-assist like rear parking sensors and an auto-parking system. The Octavia RS is available in four body colours, namely; Red, Blue, White and Steel Grey.
