Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the only 7-Seater MPV in company's portfolio is scheduled to undergo a major change and for the first time the MPV was spotted testing on the Greater Noida Expressway suggests the pictures from TEAMBHP. Images suggest that the Ertiga has undergone some serious design changes and the dimensions too have been tweaked. The face of the car gets a new headlamp cluster unit and the front turn-indicators are now closer to the front grille, changes have been made to the front and rear bumpers and MPV looks a bit more build than the ongoing Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. While the Ertiga spotted was heavily camouflaged and the face of the vehicle was not all clear, we expect the front grilled of the Ertiga to be large and more prominent and finished in chrome.
Images from TEAMBHP also suggests that rear overhang has been increased slightly which might result in more interior space and also has resulted in increased length. The taillights are similar to the current Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The current generation Maruti Suzuki Ertiga MPV measures 4296mm in length but the new Ertiga is expected to be longer by about 30-40 mm.
First debuted at the 2012 Auto Expo, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has been a successful model for the company and is being sold with a choice of 1.4L petrol and 1.3L diesel engines. The MPV was also the second product after Ciaz to get the SHVS mild-hybrid technology in 2015 and is also available with a factory fitted CNG kit. The petrol variant also gets an optional automatic variant. Currently, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is priced between Rs 6.24 - 10.59 lakh (Ex-Delhi)
During FY2016-17 the company sold a total of 63,527 units of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in the Indian domestic market and exported 5,849 units outside India.
