Mini India has launched the Clubman at Rs 37.90 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi. The new Mini Clubman is available only in one variant, Cooper S and gets boasts of circular headlamps with integrated LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps) finished in chrome. The hexagonal radiator grille along with LED tail lamps give the hatchback a sleeker appeal.
Inside, the Clubman gets modern equipment and features including optional electrically adjustable driver and front passenger seats with memory function and adjustable rear seat backrest which is a first for India. The company has equipped the car with a 6.5-inch Radio MINI Visual Boost with telephone function as standard in this version.
The multifunction sporty steering and an optional panorama glass sunroof wheel further enhances the interiors. Mini has also offered a host of personalisation options such as a wide range of upholstery including Leather Chester in Indigo Blue colour with diagonal stitching. Other driving aids include cruise control, optional rear view camera, Parking Assistance and Head-Up Display.
Under the bonnet, the new Mini Clubman is powered by a 2.0 litre, four-cylinder engine with 'TwinPower Turbo' technology. The engine produces 192 hp of power and 280 Nm of torque, paired to an 8-speed automatic Steptronic transmission. The Clubman can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in 7.2 seconds and has a top speed of 228 kmph. The driving experience of the hatchback has been further enhanced by different driving modes in which the SPORT mode favours spirited driving while ECO focuses on improving fuel efficiency.
