Italian supercar manufacturer, Lamborghini, has launched the Aventador S at Rs 5.01 crore, ex-showroom. It is powered by the standard model's 6.5 litre V12 unit, but now produces 730 hp of power, while torque remains unchanged at 690 Nm. The V12 engine is paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission and power is sent to all wheels via an all-wheel-drive system although the system has been retuned to send as much as 90 percent of the torque to the rear wheels when needed. The company claims that the Aventador S can accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in just 2.9 seconds and has a limited top speed of 350 kmph.
The Lamborghini Aventador S also gets 'Ego' mode in addition to the standard Strada, Sport and Corsa driving modes. In 'Ego' mode, the driver can adjust the suspension as well as the engine's response according to his/her need. The driving dynamics have been further enhanced by the 4 wheel steering or which the company refers to as Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS). This system adapts to the speed and the selected driving mode aiding in better handling characteristics.
The interiors of the new Aventador S are equipped with new technologies and is more luxurious. It gets high quality material and wide options to choose a different material such as Carbon Skin. The advanced technology like the instrument panel features interactive TFT LCD display with redesigned graphics and an LED lighting system. The hexagonal design language of the new Lamborghini Aventador S has an increase front downforce of 130 percent, while the new side air vents reduce turbulence, which improves cooling and fuel efficiency.
