The Road Transport Ministry has issued an advisory to state governments to follow a Supreme Court order passed in July 2017. According to this, drivers of taxis, three-wheelers, e-rickshaws and two-wheelers that are employed for food delivery etc will not be required to have commercial licenses made. For truck, bus and other heavy commercial vehicle drivers, however, commercial licences will be mandatory. While the move may help generate more employment, but there will also be concerns that will need addressing.

New 2018 Suzuki Ertiga has been unveiled at the Indonesian Motor Show and will make its way to India soon. The new Ertiga has the same Heartect platform underpinning that is also used by Maruti Suzuki Swift and Baleno. It is longer and the height has been dropped a tad, hence it gets a bigger cabin but it retains its compact MPV appeal as well. While the Ertiga will only be launched with a petrol engine in the Indonesian market, India will get both petrol and diesel variants.

The TVS Apache RR 310 has just outsold KTM 390 twins in the month of March 2018. According to the data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), TVS sold a total of 983 units of the Apache RR 310 last month. In comparison, the combined sales of the KTM RC 390 and the 390 Duke stood at 716 units. Also, the TVS flagship has beaten the KTM RC 390 and 390 Duke at a time when the company is selling it through 51 dealerships across India. Add to that the fact that the manufacturer has hiked the price of the motorcycle by Rs 8,000 a few days back. The TVS Apache RR 310 is currently priced in India at Rs 2.23 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and seeing at the momentum, things do look promising for TVS in the times to come.For more on this click the link below:
