German car manufacturer, Mercedes-AMG has revealed the final edition of its G65 SUV at a price of 310,233euros approx(Rs 2 crore). The final edition Mercedes-AMG G65 gets minor cosmetic updates at exterior and interior. The company says the Final edition G65AMG is the last model in AMG G65 Class and will be manufacturing 65 units only. The limited edition SUV, AMG G65 Final edition gets bronze accents on 21-inch alloy wheels and AMG Sport trims on sides. Also, it gets matt bronze at underride guard and at bumpers. In addition, it gets matt black paint on running boards and exhausts. Inside the cabin, the SUV gets black Nappa leather seat upholstery with light brown stitching and Final Edition lettering on grab handles & floor mats. The final edition also gets Seat Comfort package which includes multi-contour seats and climatised seats for driver and front passenger.Under the hood, AMG 65 is powered by a 6.0 litre, V12 engine that produces 630 hp of power and 1000Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7 speed plus- TRONIC automatic transmission that transfer power to all four wheels. The SUV can reach 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and can attain a top speed of 230km/h.
Mercedes-AMG brought G model in 1979 and this was followed by an introduction of G 55 AMG with V8 engine in 1999. In 2012, the company gave a facelift to G Class and launched G65 AMG with 6.0 litre, 12-cylinder engine. Like its entire G-Class range, the AMG G65 Final edition will be manufactured in Graz. It is expected that the Mercedes-Benz will showcase the next generation G-Class at 2018 Detroit Motor Show in January.
