The production version of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Concept Future-S has been snapped testing for the first time by a Team-BHP reader. The said model is rumoured to replace the highly popular Alto in the months to come. From the spy images, it clearly looks that the upcoming Maruti borrows design and styling cues from the company's Concept Future-S concept model that was showcased at the Auto Expo 2018. The dimensions of the said model seem quite generous and the car is expected to be considerably bigger than the Kwid. The concept model was seen with a fancy looking all-digital instrument cluster located at the center and we can expect the same to make its way on the final production model as well.
Apart from this, the car is also expected to come with the company's Smart Play Studio touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The safety features on the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Concept Future-S will include driver side airbag, speed alert system, seat belt reminder, rear parking sensors and ABS with EBD. The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Alto replacement is likely to get power from the company's 1.0-litre K-series engine that is good for producing respective power and torque outputs of 68 bhp and 90 Nm. Transmission duties will be taken care of with a five-speed manual unit and it remains to be seen if the company offers an optional AMT or not.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki micro SUV for what it appears like will primarily challenge the likes of the Renault Kwid in the segment. The prices of the upcoming Maruti Concept Future-S are expected to start from close to the Rs 3 lakh (ex-showroom) mark. Expect the market launch during this festive season. More details on the same to be out soon, so stay tuned with us for all the action.
