Mahindra XUV500 has recently been spied again at a dealership in India with a petrol engine and the images have been revealed by an anonymous reader of Team-BHP. The said variant is already on sale in international markets and has been launched in recent times in Dubai. As per reports, the Mahindra XUV500 petrol trim will be available in the country in a total of three variants. These include the W8 with front-wheel and all-wheel drive along with the top-end W10 all-wheel drive that will offer an automatic transmission as well. The petrol engine on the Mahindra XUV500 displaces 2.2-litre and gets a turbocharger to improve the performance. The motor that has been badged mHawk 140 is good for producing a maximum power output of 138 hp while the peak torque figure stands at 320 Nm. Only the W8 FWD trim will offer a manual gearbox whilethe rest can be chosen with an automatic one as well.

On the exterior, the Mahindra XUV500 looks similar when compared to its diesel counterpart. Except for the G140 logo on the fender in the diesel variant, there are no changes to the petrol version. The interior of the SUV gets an all-black treatment and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system is similar that comes in the existing diesel avatar. Other features that have been included are tyre pressure monitoring system, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, navigation, video playback, voice commands, Bluetooth connectivity, six-speakers and a lot more. Reports further state that the W10 trim will not come with an electric driving seat.
