Mahindra KUV100 NXT facelift launched in India at Rs 4.39 lakh

Mahindra's new KUV100 has been positioned as a micro-SUV even though for the most part it remains a hatchback. An AMT version of the KUV100 is likely to launch in a couple of months.

Mahindra KUV100 facelift has launched in India at a Starting price of Rs. 4.39 (Ex-Mumbai). The petrol variants are priced between Rs  4.39- 6.40 lakh(ex-Mumbai) and the diesel variants costs Rs. 5.39-7.33 lakh (ex-Mumbai). This is the first major facelift on Mahindra KUV100 since its debut in Jan 2016. The facelift features minor changes to exterior and interiors. The small SUV gets refreshed front and rear bumper and extra cladding n the fog lamp cluster. The revised front grille on the new Mahindra KUV100 has been inspired from the Mahindra Scorpio and makes the car look a bit more aggressive and a bit longer. However, the dimensions of the KUV remain unchanged. The facelift of Mahindra KUV100 is manufactured at Mahindra & Mahindra's Chakan plant near Pune and is designed at Mahindra research valley in Chennai.

Mechanically the KUV100 is powered by the same 1.2L petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine sheds a power of 82 bhp of maximum power and 115 Nm of peak torque. The 1.2 litre mFalcon D75 diesel unit delivers 77 hp and 190 Nm of torque. The engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.Mahindra KUV100 gets all black interiors with piano Black inserts and silver accents. It also features new fabric upholstery. It also continues to get the joystick gearshift.Mahindra KUV100 will be powered by m-FALCON family engine. 1.2 MPFI. The engine of Mahindra KUV100 now gets the micro-Hybrid technology and claims about 3-4% more mileage

At the launch, Dr Pawan Goenka, MD Mahindra and Mahindra has big plans for the new KUV 100 they claim that we can expect an electric version in the coming year and there will be an AMT on offer in both Petrol and Diesel in the next six month to further boost the sales for the KUV. All this research and development has cost Mahindra to the tune of Rs 90 crore further enunciating Mahindra's dedication to the brand.Mahindra has also made ABS and dual front airbags as standard safety features from K2+ variants.
