Luxury carmaker Lexus has recently teased its LH-1 limitless concept ahead of the 2018 North American International Auto Show to be held in Detroit. The new Lexus LF-1 concept has been designed by CALTY design studio that is situated in South California. and this is the same place that has given the FT-1 concept. According to the Nagoya-based carmaker, the Lexus LF-1 will arrive as the company's flagship crossover. Not much details are shown in the teaser image and one can only see the sloping D-pillar of the car. The sleek LED tail lamps look appealing and these further get complemented by the LEDs on the roof spoiler. Just below the tail lights, one can clearly see the Lexus logo lighting up in blue, making up for another interesting highlight. Looking at the illuminated badge, once can safely assume that the new Lexus LF-1 will be a hybrid vehicle.
There is a very light possibility that the upcoming Lexus LF-1 will replace the age old LX in the international markets. The SUV will rival against the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLE coupe and the BMW X6. The teaser image looks really interesting and if you are eagerly waiting for it, you will have to wait till 14th January 2018 when the auto show will open its gates.
The new Lexus LF-1 is expected to share its powertrain with the company's flagship sedan LS 500h. The latter is run by a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre, V6 petrol engine coupled to two electric motors and a lithium ion battery pack. The maximum combined output of the entire system stands at 354 hp. A sprint from 0 to 60 mph takes a little over 5 seconds.
