Racing games are fun but they can be frustrating when the players happen to be stuck in a particular time trial or race. Despite several attempts, shaving off that extra second may be difficult. But now, learn from the best himself. Three-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton will be starring in the upcoming Gran Turismo Sport. Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital has announced that Hamilton will lend his driving expertise to players to help them drive better. The game will have recorded information from Hamilton about driving techniques on stuff ranging from car control to corner entry and exit. The game will also feature demonstration laps driven by the man himself.
The Gran Turismo Sport game is due for launch on October 17. “I have been playing Gran Turismo since I was a child, so to actually be part of the gameplay design has been an incredible experience," said Hamilton.
The Mercedes driver will play the maestro and mentor role in the game, where he will be seen leading and guiding the players. With his advice, Gran Turismo virtual racers should have a better chance at advancing further.
The British racer's driving philosophy will be shared with the racers through images and interviews as a guide to improve their times.
Gran Turismo series Producer Kazunori Yamauchi added: "From watching Lewis drive on TV all these years, I had an idea of how he might drive, but the experience of watching him drive in person was well beyond my wildest expectations. And I'm really glad to be able to share his driving philosophy with all Gran Turismo players," he added.
