New images of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Ulimited Rubicon have surfaced at the Jlwranglerforums. The images on the forum suggest that the 2018 Wrangler JL Unlimited Rubicon will be based on the same design, with some updates on the outside. Jeep invested $700 million at their North facility, Toledo Assembly Complex and will soon begin production of the 2018 Jeep Wrangler. The new Jeep Wrangler will go on sale by the end of this year in US market.
The 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Unlimited Rubicon will get fully removable doors and roof, redesigned bumper with a larger grille and a solid frame with a fixed roll cage. In addition, the new Jeep Wrangler will feature fog lights placed to the edges of the bumper, foldable windshield, the front fender will have a LED strip, new door handles, more boot space and wraparound tail lights.
Details of the engine are not known so far, however, it is expected that the new Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will be powered by a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6 engine. The engine will be mated to a 8 speed automatic or 6 speed manual transmission.
Jeep entered India in 2016 with the launch of Wrangler Unlimited, Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee SRT. It is expected that the company will manufacture all models at the facility in Ranjangaon in Maharashtra, and will roll out its India made SUV next year.
