The Lamborghini Urus, better known as th world’s fastest production SUV by one of the respected sports car maker will be launched in India very soon. To be precise, the Urus will make its India debut on January 11, 2018, according to a report at CarAndBike NDTV Auto. This means that the Lamborghini Urus will mark its footprints in India in just 38 days after its global debut at the company’s Sant Agata Bolognese headquarters. The quick launch of the Lamborghini Urus on Indian shores is actually something very interesting. Lamborghini has decided to sell its Urus in most of the markets and if the report is to be believed, the first lot of customers that will be getting the car has also been fixed. Lamborghini has opened a new production facility for the manufacturing of Urus that will help the company double the output.
Lamborghini currently has a unit sales of 3500 units annually. The brand is eyeing on selling 7000 units of the Urus per year, wich means that the SUV can be a good volume churner and boost up the sales. Talking of markets like India, where sportscars have become too common for some, opting for a hyper SUV can do the trick. Also, there is no denying the fact that the Indians love SUVs and many times refrain opting for a low slung sportscars dur to the road conditions here. This can one of the important reasons why India is among the first few markets where the Urus will be launched.
The Lamborghini Urus sources its power from a 4-litre, twin turbo, V8 engine that churns out 637 hp of power along with a peak torque of 850 Nm. With the massive powertrain, the Italian SUV sprints from a standstill to 100 kmph mark in just 3.6 seconds. The Lamborghini Urus can hit a top speed of 305 kmph which makes it the the fastest production SUV that you can buy on planet earth.
