Kia Motors has teased the image of its upcoming concept car, which will be unveiled at the 2017 Frankfurt International Motor Show on 12 September. The car manufacturer has not disclosed the name of the concept model, but it is likely to be a shooting brake four-door concept car that is designed at Kia’s European design centre in Frankfurt. Not much details about the new Kia Concept is available as of now, but will be revealed soon nearing its unveiling at the auto show. The new concept car indicates the styling cues of the next-generation cee’d with new body work. According to the company, “the extended hot hatch retains the athleticism of the current pro_cee’d model, while combining its striking visual presence with a dash of real-world versatility.” The Kia cee’d hatchback is sold only in European markets and is available as a three-door, five-door hatch and a five-door wagon version.
The teaser images by Kia Motors suggests that the concept car will get flowing roof and window lines, which is in line with what the company call it as “extended hot hatch styling”. The rear gets a clean design with a single stripe LED tail lamp running across the width of the car. The side profile of the car suggests aggressive design.
The concept model is expected to be powered by a new or a revised existing engine options. The company might equip the car with a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine is expected that also powers the Picanto and the Rio. The company hasn't confirmed if this concept will make it to production, but with the way it looks, we expect Kia to make this to production sooner than later.
