Isuzu is all set to launch MU-X on 11th May in India and before the launch, its brochure has been leaked on the internet. The company will assemble the MU-X in India at its Sri City facility in Andhra Pradesh. When launched, it is expected to be priced between Rs 20-25 lakh, and will compete against likes of Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe and the Ford Endeavour. Isuzu MU-X will be offered in 4 colour options- Silky white pearl, Orchid brown mica, Cosmic black mica and Titanium silver metallic.
Isuzu MU-X will be powered by a 3.0 litre four cylinder, VGS turbo diesel engine that produces 174hp of power and 380 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox and will come with Shift on the fly 4x4 select dial. The company claims the 7 seater SUV will deliver a fuel economy of 13.8 km/l and has a fuel tank capacity of 65 litres. The braking duties are handled by 300 mm discs at the front and 318 mm discs at the rear. Suspension system comprises of independent double wish bone coil springs gas shock absorbers at front and penta link gas shock absorbers at the rear.
On the exterior, the MU-X gets features such as projector headlamps with LED DRL's, dual tone metallic grey body coloured bumper at front and rear, 17 inch multi spoke diamond cut alloy wheel, double slat chrome radiator grille and chrome door handles.
Inside the cabin, the SUV gets engine start/stop button, 7 inch touch screen infotainment system, 10 inch roof mounted entertainment screen and leather wrapped steering wheel. In addition, it gets glove box with light and power outlet, 2 USB ports, dual tone ivory grey interiors and piano black finish centre console.
In terms of safety, Isuzu MU-X gets Anti skid brake system( ABS) with EBD, Brake assist( BA), Electronic stability control (ESC), Traction control system (TCS), Hill start assist (HSA), dual front airbags and ISOFIX.
