Indian arm of Japanese automaker is slowly and steadily increasing its foot prints in India and the introduction of Datsun care has given the customers an option to opt for hassle free servicing and maintenance package that even includes road side assistance and extended warranty. In an e-mail, Sanjeev Aggarwal, Vice President, After Sales, Nissan Motor India made the Datsun care package further clearer by responding to our queries.
1. How has the customer response been on this new service package plan?
We have received a great response from our customers as we are the first in the segment to provide such a comprehensive package at a very competitive price. Our customers are seeing value in Datsun CARE, in fact the service package’s key features also makes the redi-GO an even more compelling and attractive proposition for people buying redi-GO.
2. What are the overall benefits for new buyers who wish to enroll for this service package? Can existing customers can also opt for this scheme?
Under the terms of the Datsun CARE comprehensive service package, customers can save approximately 10% on periodic and general repairs. In addition, the customer gets a host of free value-added services worth around Rs. 5000. Other than cost savings, it incorporates almost 100% coverage of parts, comes with 24×7 road-side assistance and is transferable.
The Datsun CARE package covers scheduled services and their associated spare part costs, labor charges and taxes and other important value additions. These include replacement of brake and clutch components, replacement of wiper blades once a year, wheel alignment and balancing, exterior washes and interior cleaning.
Datsun Road Side Assistance service is provided free of cost for a period of 2 years from the date of sale regardless of kilometers travelled, and comes complimentary with the extended warranty of 2 or 3 additional years purchased with the vehicle.
Currently, Datsun CARE is available for new redi-GO customers. There are 3 packages, 3 years / 30,000 Km, 4 years / 40,000 km and 5 years / 50,000 km. We also offer extended warranty in Datsun CARE without any limitation of kilometers. However, we will soon roll out products for existing customers as well.
3. Is the Datsun CARE initiative future ready? Company’s future products would be benefited from this?
At Datsun, we are continuously exploring innovative business model to enhance customer experience and satisfaction by offering one-stop solutions to the customers.
4. Can the buyer/owner avail servicing of Datsun CARE across all dealerships including Nissan dealerships?
Yes, our service package can be availed all Nissan and Datsun dealerships. We also offer express services at 42 locations, covering cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Cochin, Bhubaneshwar to offer quality service within the shortest time possible. Additionally, for customer convenience, Door step service is provided through fully equipped 36 Mobile Service Assistance vehicle catering to rural cities covering more than 90 locations across India.
5. Does this cover accidental damages? If yes, what kind of damages?
No, this doesn’t cover accidental damages.
6. Like you have discounts on cars during festive season, do you plan to bring in discounts for Datsun CARE service packages as well?
Our service campaigns like Happy with Nissan for Nissan and Datsun customers pan-India aims to provide an ownership experience for them. This year, Happy with Nissan included a 60-point free vehicle check-up, attractive discounts on accessories, and free
top wash as well.
7. Why is this restricted to only Redi-GO customers and not Datsun GO or GO+.
We started Datsun CARE with redi-GO customers and are working towards expanding this product to cover other car models as well.
8. What has been the most important selling point for this package?
The USP of Datsun CARE is that it is designed to provide complete peace of mind and a hassle-free ownership experience. We have set industry benchmarks in parts availability with a fill rate – which measures how many customer orders can be met from existing inventory at the dealerships – of 96%. Our dealers are well equipped with trained manpower and dealer In-house Technical Support team to resolve any concern in the vehicle. In addition, we have dedicated ‘Techline’ regional resources to resolve the concern. 92% of the technical concerns are resolved within 24 hrs. and 96% by 48 hrs.
Recently, Datsun India also rolled out its milestone Redi-Go as its 100,000th car out its plant in Chennai. Datsun Go, Go+ and Redi-Go are the three products in company’s product line-up but the Redi-Go has by far been the most successful product for the company and the Datsun Care package is only introduced on the Redi-Go.
