With an aim to expand its footprints in the global market, Datsun has re-entered the Sri Lankan market with the launch of the red-GO. Datsun has earlier entered the Sri aLanksn market in 1957.
The company has not announced the price of the new vehicle, but said that the prices will be announced at the time of its sales, which will start in the first week of September, 2016. The car will be available and sold through Nissan the dealerships across the country.

The Datsun redi-GO, as the company says, is an urban crossover with a spacious cabin. It features electronic power steering, front airbag and much more. The car has a best-in-segment ground clearance of 185mm.The redi-GO is powered by a 0.8 L, DOHC 12-valve, 3-cylinders, petrol engine. The unit develops 53 hp of power at 5678 rpm and 72 Nm of torque at 4386 rpm. Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the power is sent to its front wheels.
