Premium automaker BMW India is all set to debut multiple products at the upcoming 2018 Auto Expo and expect the German automaker have a strong showcase of in all segments from luxury sedans to SUVs to electric cars. BMW India is likely to showcase it’s the powerful version of its luxury sedan BMW M750 Li along with the new generation 2018 BMW M5. We also expect the 2018 BMW X3 to be the flag bearer in the company’s SUV line-up. If reports are to be believed then the company will also be showcasing its BMW i3S and BMW i8 roadster cars in India for the first time.
BMW cars at Auto Expo 2018:
BMW 6 Series GT:
At the Auto Expo 2018, BMW India will bring in its BMW 6 Series GT that replaces the 5 Series GT globally and will rival the likes of Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long Wheel Base. Expect the car to be powered by a 2.0L petrol and 2.0L diesel engines and in all possibility the company might be looking at to locally assemble the luxury car at its Chennai plant.
New BMW M5:
The new generation BMW M5 will be star at the Auto Expo 2018 at the BMW Pavilion. The performance versions of 5 series was recently in news for setting a Guinness World Record for the longest drift and expect the car to make its India debut sometime later in 2018. The new BMW M5 is powered by a 4.4-litre V8 bi-turbo engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. The M engineers have carried out significant revisions to the outgoing model’s power unit. The engine sheds a power of 600 hp and 750 Nm of torque.
BMW i3s and BMW i8 Roadster
BMW i3s might be company’s first electric car bet in India and the company will be showcasing the car at the upcoming Auto Expo 2018. Many media reports do suggest that the car will be launched in India as the country looks ahead to its EV goal. BMW i is a BMW Group brand focusing on visionary vehicle concepts, connected mobility services and a new understanding of premium strongly defined by sustainability.
