Audi India has launched the facelifted A3 Cabriolet at a price of Rs 47.98 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The four-seat convertible is powered by a 1.4 litre TFSI engine that delivers 150 hp of power and 250Nm of torque mated to a 7-speed S-tronic transmission, The engine is equipped with Cylinder on Demand system which shuts off two cylinders when the engine is operating under partial load. The company claims the A3 Cabriolet to deliver a fuel efficiency about 19.20 kmpl
At the exterior, the new A3 Cabriolet gets a single frame grille flanked by LED headlamps with DRL's , new graphics at the front and redesigned rear lights with LED turn signals. The car measures 4,423 mm in length, 1,793mm in width, 1,409mm in height and 2,595mm in wheel base. Inside the cabin, the 2017 A3 Cabriolet gets a host of new features such as three spoke multifunction steering wheel, electrically retractable 7-inch coloured MMI screen and Milano leather upholstery. Along with this, it also gets dual zone air conditioning with sunlight dependent control, Audi parking system with front & rear sensors and rear view camera. The sound system from Bang and Olufsen and smart phone interface will be optional on the convertible.
In terms of safety, the A3 Cabriolet gets five airbags and ABS (Anti-lock braking system )with EBD (Electronic brakeforce distribution). The rooftop on the convertible is made of a special and water-proof fabric, which can be ordered with an optional acoustic top to enhance noise insulation. The electrohydraulic rooftop can be opened/ closed at speeds up to 50 km/h.
