British sports carmaker, Aston Martin has introduced its latest DB series, the DB11, in India at a price of Rs 4.27 Crore, ex-showroom, Mumbai. The grand tourer cum sports car was unveiled at Infinity Motors and deliveries will start from January 2017. Based on the DBX concept, the DB11 is powered by an enormous 5.2L twin-turbo V12 engine that produces a massive 600hp of power and 700Nm of torque. Power to the rear wheels is sent by a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic gearbox with an electronic shift-by-wire control system. End result is a 0-100 km/h sprint in a meagre 3.9 seconds.
In terms of design,the sports car gets a two-door body style, aluminum door structures, LED headlamps with daytime running lights, side lights and cornering lights. The DB11 measures 4,739 mm in length, 2,060 mm in width and 1,279 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2805mm making it (on paper) not just a sports car, but a four-seater grand tourer. The car features a 12 inch TFT LCD display in the instrument console which gives all vehicle information such as distance to empty, driving modes and more. The infotainment unit is an 8 inch LCD screen with a 400 watt Bang and Olufsen Beosound audio system that has iPhone and iPod integration as well as USB playback.
The DB11 has been packed with safety gadgets like electric park brake, ABS, Dynamic Stability Control, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, Emergency Brake Distribution,Traction Control, Hydraulic Brake Assist, Positive Torque Control and Dynamic Torque Vectoring.
