Ashok Leyland receives order worth Rs 120 crore from Rivigo

Ashokh Leyland claims that its BS-IV compliant commercial vehicles are up to 10% more fuel efficient as compared to its BS-III range of vehicles. This has helped its customers to improve its operating costs by up to 15%,

Indian commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has received an order to deliver 500 fully built commercial vehicles and the deal is worth Rs 120 crore confirmed Ashok Leyland in a BSE filing. All the vehicles will be BS-IV compliant and will host the company’s indigenously developed iEGR (Intelligent Exhaust Gas Recirculation) technology that was launched in April earlier this year for engines capable of producing power of up to 400 hp. Expressing his views, Anurag Kathuria, President – Global Trucks, Ashok Leland said that ” Ashok Leyland has been an integral part of Rivigo’s story since the beginning of their journey. They trust us as their partners and we are glad we have been able to deliver. Today, our BS-IV iEGR vehicles are giving up to 10% better fuel economy when compared to our BS-III range. This is helping all our customers to improve their total cost of operations by up to 15% translating to improved profits. Rivigo is one of the fast growing logistics solutions provider in India and has been partnering with Ashok Leyland since 2014.
