Maserati has announced the launch of its 2019 Quattroporte diesel in India with new colour options, wheel designs and interior veneers, redesigned gearshift lever and Pieno Fiore natural leather interiors, among other changes. The 2019 model is offered in GranLusso and GranSport trims both marked by a sculpted nose with the Alfieri-shaped three-dimensional grille. The Quattroporte comes powered by a 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel engine with AdBlue technology. In India, the 2019 Quattroporte’s GranLusso version is available at a starting price of Rs 1.74 crore and the Gransport version at Rs 1.79 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Active Sound technology of the Quattroporte Diesel exhaust system promises a characteristic Maserati sound which can be varied at the touch of a button. The 2019 Quattroporte gets a redesigned gearshift lever, featuring an improved shift pattern with shorter travel and improved operation.
The driver now has the option to use the eight-speed ZF gearbox in automatic or manual mode simply by shifting the lever from right to left, while a new ‘P’ button sets the transmission in parking mode. The MTC+ infotainment system has been enhanced with updated display graphics and improved climate control system ergonomics.
On the inside, Maserati has introduced full-grain Pieno Fiore leather for the first time. Pieno Fiore is available as an option in Quattroporte in three colours with specific stitching on the seats and double stitching on the door panels. Maserati also offers two brand new high-gloss interior veneers for the Quattroporte.
Further, exterior colour ranges have also been refreshed with a choice of ten colours for the 2019 Quattroporte models. Two new tri-coat colours are now available - Rosso Potente and Blu Nobile. In the collection of alloy wheels designed specifically for Quattroporte, there are two brand new designs in the 2019 catalogue in 20 and 21-inch sizes.
The Harman Kardon Premium Sound system is fitted as standard, along with Bowers & Wilkins Surround Sound system is an alternative optional audio package. It gets 15 speakers, mid-range drivers and rear-woofers made from aramid fibre, and a 1,280-watt amplifier.
After the first 2018 Quattroporte GTS and first 2018 Maserati Ghibli that arrived in Delhi, it is now time for the elegant Bianco Alpi GranSport trim with Pieno Fiore leather interiors – the celebrated 2019 version of Maserati’s best-selling sedan Quattroporte – to make its way into the city.
