The biggest change on the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be the engine. The car in its new avatar will source power from a 1.5-litre petrol and it is the same unit that runs the Ertiga in the Indonesian markets. That said, the existing 1.4-litre engine will no longer be on duty. The engine is good for producing 105 bhp of power along with a peak torque of 130 Nm. Moreover, there is a healthy possibility that the car will get a mild hybrid system and that should result in a better fuel economy than the current generation model. The 1.3-litre diesel engine will be the same with power and torque outputs of 90 bhp and 200 Nm respectively.

The interiors of the new Maruti Ciaz are also expected to be revised with more premium treatment and inclusion of some new features. One of the most prominent changes expected inside is a new touchscreen infotainment system, supporting both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be priced slightly higher than the regular model. The car will compete with the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Skoda Rapid in the segment. More details expected to be revealed soon, so stay tuned with us!
