
The 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Sport is likely to get a new Ingenium engine along with new technologies like an updated infotainment system and more colour options. The SUV will go on sale later this year in international markets, and will be offered in SD4 S, TDV6 S, SDV6 Autobiography and SDV6 trims.
The Range Rover Sport will be powered by JLR’s 2.0 L, Ingenium, four-cylinder, turbo-diesel engine. The mill will develop 237 hp and 500 Nm of maximum torque. Equipping the SUV with the new engine will make it adopt a single twin exhaust tip compared to the standard twin exhaust.
The carmaker will also offer the 2017 Range Rover Sport with an all aluminium 3.0 L, V6 petrol motor capable of producing 335 hp and 450 Nm of torque along with the bigger 5.0 L, V8 and 3.0 L, four-cylinder unit.
The next-generation SUV will be available with new and updated equipment. It will include Low Traction Launch, for better grip on low-grip surfaces, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot assistance, intelligent speed limiter and a driver condition monitor that to detect signs of driver fatigue.
The updated infotainment system will now get a 10.0-inch touchscreen display with Land Rover’s InControl Touch Pro, which memorises drivers’ regular routes and sends car data and walking directions to the driver’s smartphone. The upcoming SUV will also get 19 new paint colours like the Bright Pack (optional), Pearlescent whites, Greys, etc.
