Hyundai India will launch the 2016 Hyundai Elantra on 23rd August 2016. The car maker has already started accepting bookings for the new-generation Elantra. The customers can pre-book the car at a minimum amount of Rs. 25,000 across all Hyundai outlets in the country.
The upcoming Hyundai Elantra will boast of a more matured and elegant design language compared to its predecessor. The new sedan features coupe-like body design, new and bigger hexagonal front grille with chrome finish, newly designed projector headlamps and new fog lamp cluster.
The side profile of the upcoming Elantra is quite similar to the current model, however, the Korean car manufacturer has made changes to its rear. The car gets new split tail lights with LED, redesigned boot and a shark-fin antenna. The 2016 Hyundai Elantra will be bigger than the current-generation model in term of its dimensions.
The 4.3-inch touchscreen audio system will be replaced by a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation. Other highlights of the interiors include automatic climate control, cruise control, rain sensing wipers and start/stop button.
The most powerful engine to power the sixth-generation Hyundai Elantra is a 2.0L, 4-cylinder petrol unit that generates 147 bhp. The 1.6 L petrol and diesel engines found on the present Elantra too are expected to be retained in favour of cost. The engines will be coupled with a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox.
