India Yamaha Motor has inaugurated a very distinct initiative called Yamaha Scooter Boutique in Chennai under the banner of its dealership 'Bikerz'. The boutique will offer a one stop shop for scooter and fashion accessories, along with a buying experience provided by a team of professionals. The new boutique has been built on an area of 3100 sq ft for sale of accessories and the entire range of Yamaha scooters available in India. The Japanese two-wheeler brand aims to build a closer relationship with existing customers through this scooter boutique. Yamaha scooters have garnered a popularity in the Indian two-wheeler market. With an aim to grow as a personal mobility brand, Yamaha set up shop in 2012. The Fascino, in particular, has been well liked in India, along with Cygnus Ray Z and Cygnus Ray ZR. Yamaha also hopes the initiative will also help boost the brand with more female riders.
