TVS is reportedly planning to launch an updated version of the Apache RR 310 in the market. First launched in 2018, the Apache RR 310 is one of the most affordable fully-faired sports bikes in its segment. A test mule of the flagship motorcycle from TVS was recently spotted testing near the company’s manufacturing facility in Hosur.
In the spy shot, there are no significant visual changes visible on the prototype. However, on a closer glance we see winglets emerging out of the bike’s front side panels. Therefore, the 2024 Apache RR 310 will see the addition of winglets that should improve the bike’s aerodynamics. It is to be seen whether or not this update will result in better performance.
For starters, winglets are not a common feature in this segment of sports tourers. It is more common in the likes of Ducati Panigales and Triumph Daytonas, so this will be a welcome first-in-segment feature in the Apache RR 310. The most important function of a winglet is to reduce downforce which usually comes into play with bikes of output exceeding 150 horses. The use case for a bike which produces only 34 bhp is still debated.

Powering the Apache RR 310 will be the same 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is paired with a six speed gearbox. This motor delivers 33.5 bhp at 9,700rpm and 27.3 Nm of peak torque at 7,700rpm. Suspension duties are carried out by upside down front forks, and a rear mono-shock.
