TVS Motor Company has teased a new scooter on its official India website which is likely to launch in India soon. The teaser image reveals the tail lamp of the scooter that resembles the existing Scooty Zest 110 model. The new automatic scooter will be compliant with BS-IV (Bharat Stage) emission norms and willreceive an AHO (Automatic Headlamp On) function in which the headlamps remain turned on as soon as the scooter is started.
The two-wheeler manufacturer is also expected to offer the new scooter with cosmetic changes like new graphics, DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), USB changing socket and colour options along with existing features of the Scooty Zest range. These would include an illuminated speedometer, textured floorboard, stainless steel muffler guard as well as a 19 litre under seat storage.
The new upcoming scooter is expected to be powered by the existing 109.7 cc engine that produces 8
hp of power at 7,500 rpm and 8.7 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. This engine will be paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. The engine in the existing model of the Scooty Zest has a claimed fuel efficiency of 62 kmpl and has a fuel tank capacity of 5 litres.It is also expected that the new scooter's colour options may be offered in glossy and matte finish as well as dual tone shades. The upcoming scooter is expected to be priced at a slight premium over the current TVS Scooty Zest 110, which retails at Rs 46,238, ex-showroom, Delhi.
