TVS Ntorq 125 scooter has been launched in India, this being the first launch for the home-grown brand after the TVS Apache 310 RR was rolled out in our market. The TVS Ntorq 125 was first showcased at the Auto Expo 2014 as a concept. Now that it is now on sale in India, it competes with the likes of Honda Grazia and Suzuki Access 125, however, it quite stands out in the crowd with premium features that are a first for the segment. The new TVS Ntorq 125 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 58,750 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The prices for other cities will be announced in a week's time from now. For starters, TVS Ntorq 125 comes equipped with smartphone connectivity, top speed recorder, multiple ride modes and a lot more. The new TVS scooter is India's first Bluetooth connected scooter and its design language has taken inspiration from TVS racing. The connectivity system of the scooter has been named as TVS SmartXonnect. In terms of design as well, TVS Ntorq 125 is quite a fresh take on the scooter segment, with turn indicators that situated on the headlamp cowl, while the headlamp is placed on the apron. The scooter gets 30 all-new features that shall give it an edge over its competition.
Suspension duties on the TVS Ntorq 125 are served by conventional telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. As the name suggests, the TVS Ntorq 125 is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9 hp of power and 10.5 Nm of torque. The new TVS Ntorq 125 features a fully-digital instrument cluster, that also supports smartphone connectivity.

Besides the new Ntorq 125, TVS is also expected to be working on a new electric scooter, which will likely be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2018. Based on spy images, it appears the new TVS electric scooter will be a full-fledged premium product. Details on the battery, motor and performance have not been revealed, however, it is speculated to come with a digital instrument console, telescopic front forks, alloy wheels, tubeless tyres, and an optional disc brake up front is also possible.
