Triumph Motorcycle India is planning to launch a new motorcycle on 24th August, reports Car and Bike. According to a report, the company might add the Street Scrambler to its product portfolio.The design of the Street Scrambler is based on the Street Twin and is powered by a 900cc parallel twin engine that produces 55 hp of power and 80Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and gets tubular steel cradle frame.The suspension duties on the motorcycle are done by a 41mm KYB front forks and twin shocks with adjustable pre load, both with 120mm preload. The stopping power is done by 310mm single disc single at the front and single 255mm disc at the rear with a switchable ABS. It has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres and gives fuel efficiency to the tune of 26 kmpl. The motorcycle gets the host of features such as LCD display with analogue speedometer, odometer, traction control display, gear position indicator, TPMS( tyre pressure monitoring system) and switchable traction control, interchangeable pillion seats, aluminium rack with removable pillion pegs. In addition, the Street Scrambler gets driver aids such as Ride by Wire, Torque Assist Clutch, Immobiliser, LED rear light and USB socket.
It is expected that Triumph might launch the Street Scrambler at a price of Rs 8 lakh to Rs 9 lakh,ex-showroom, Delhi.When launched the motorcycle will compete with the likes of Ducati Scrambler Sled. Recently, Triumph launch the Speed Triple S variant at a price of Rs 8.50 lakh and it is expected that they might introduce the powerful versions R and RS of Speed Triple.
