Joining the brotherhood, Indian-arm of Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motorcycle India will be launching its first 150cc crusier motorcycle in India on 7th November 2017. For the first time Suzuki Motorcycle will venture into a new segment in Indian market and reports suggest that the new Suzuki cruiser will be christened as the Suzuki Intruder 150 or the Suzuki GZ150. The new motorcycle is based on the Suzuki Intruder and will take on the Bajaj Avenger 150. The cruiser by the name Suzuki GZ150 is already on sale in global markets like China, Indonesia and Vietnam. Fresh images appearing on internet suggests that the Suzuki’s new cruiser boasts aggressive design which and is completely different from any other cruiser currently on sale in the Indian market. Decent proportions, modern styling and completely new designed headlamps make the motorcycle look strong and broad from the front and is expected to be lighter than it looks.
Suzuki Intruder 150 gets wide and chunky mudguard at the rear and large twin-exhaust mufflers making adding to the aggressive design language of the motorcycle. The cruiser is expected to get the same chassis as on the Suzuki Gixxer series of bikes diamond-type frame chassis that will help in the overall weight reduction of Suzuki Intruder 150. The Cruiser is likely to measure in at 2250 mm in length, 900 mm width and 1160 mm in height, and will have a wheelbase of 1,460mm.
The new Suzuki Motorcycle cruiser is also likely to get a full digital meter displaying gear position Indicator, RPM Indicator, LCD Trip Meter and Programmable gear shift Indicator among others. It will get the same, 4-stroke, 1-cylinder, Air-cooled carburetor engine with a displacement of 155cc as seen on the Suzuki Gixxer but will be tuned differently to return both efficient performance and fuel-efficiency.
